Covast Mentioned in Leading Analyst Firm's Report on Europe's Top B2B Vendors
ATLANTA and ROTTERDAM, The Netherlands - September 15, 2005 - Covast,
a leading provider of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) integration solutions
for collaborative business environments, has been included in a recent research
report conducted by Gartner, Inc., an independent industry research and advisory
firm. Released in August 2005, Gartner's report entitled "European B2B
Vendors Deliver Mature Products" analyzes five leading European B2B vendors
currently offering mature products that offer a breadth of functionality. Paolo
Malinverno, research vice president at Gartner and author of the report, includes
the Covast EDI Accelerator for Microsoft BizTalk Server as one of the market's
products in Europe's unique B2B marketplace.
Malinverno writes: "Accustomed to dealing with the diversity that is a
condition of survival in their home market, European business-to-business vendors
are offering increasingly competitive, multinational products for the global
market. Companies worldwide (and especially in Europe) should consider the breadth
of functionality of these products when making purchasing decisions."
The Covast EDI Accelerator for Microsoft BizTalk Server is one of Covast's
most successful products to date. The Covast EDI Accelerator allows enterprises
to easily integrate complex EDI infrastructures with the BizTalk Server XML-centric
environment. This allows for a smooth flow of information between legacy EDI
solutions, internal applications and Internet-based trading partners.
Covast believes the market performance of its EDI Accelerator offering is a
direct result of the software's comprehensive support of various EDI standards
and protocols, as well as the mature transformation technology that enables
Business Activity Monitoring (BAM) for EDI. This has enabled Covast to further
its market position not just in Europe, but throughout North America as well.
"The diversity of the European B2B market is quite challenging. But, it's
due in part to this environment that Covast has emerged a leader in B2B and
EDI integration. It has enabled us to offer our customers - regardless of location
- not just world-class business integration solutions, but a global understanding
of business processes and integration issues," said Daan Scheer, CEO, Covast.
