Daan Scheer
Founder and CEO
Daan Scheer founded Covast, Inc. (formerly Esperanto) in the Netherlands.
In 1996 he also co-founded The Experts, a Dutch consulting company
specializing in object-oriented software development. In 1999, the
publicly listed company Aino acquired The Experts. Before 1996,
Scheer managed research and development, software implementation
and support for the Dutch subsidiary of the French company GSI (now
ADP). Scheer graduated with a degree in economics from Free University
of Amsterdam.
Gijsbert in ’t Veld
CTO
Gijsbert in t Veld brings 15 years of technology experience
to Covast and oversees the company's overall technical growth and
product strategy. He is the principal architect of Covast's product
line. As a recipient of the prestigious Microsoft® Most Valuable
Professional (MVP) award, Mr. in t Veld belongs to an elite
group of the best and brightest technical leaders from around the
world. For the last four years, he has worked closely with the Microsoft
BizTalk product group in Redmond, designing new EDI product versions
and educating technology professionals at both internal and external
large scale Microsoft venues, like TechEd and IT Forum. Prior to
Covast, in 't Veld managed the EDI product development group for
the French company GSI (now ADP) for 7 years, and as a project manager
he was responsible for several large B2B integration implementations
worldwide.
Wilfred Noppers
Executive Vice President of World Wide Sales
Wilfred Noppers brings 9 years of Sales and Sales Management experience, leading the Covast sales operations. Before joining Covast in 2000 he was responsible for the IT Consultancy division of a Dutch IT company where he tripled revenues in just over 2 years. Prior to that, he held a senior sales position for a global media organization, contributing largely to the growth and profitability. Noppers graduated with a Degree in Economics from the Erasmus University in Rotterdam.
