Client: Ranked among the world's top 10 air cargo companies, China Airlines boasts a fleet of modern freighters and passenger aircraft. Currently, China Airlines serves routes to more than 50 cities in 25 countries around the globe.

Challenge: To be compliant with government regulations requiring the electronic delivery of data on all shipments pertinent to China Post, China's national postal service.

Solution: China Airlines implemented a new EDI platform comprised of the Covast EDI Accelerator and Microsoft BizTalk Server. This solution enables EDI communication through the required VANs using the UPU EDI format, a variation on the EDIFACT format used in the postal industry.
